Dr. Steve Burian Awarded Civilian Honor By President of Pakistan
Millions congratulations to Professor Steve Burian! He will be awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence), one of Pakistan’s highest civilian honors. Pakistan President Arif Alvi will present the award on Saturday, March 23 in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The honor signifies appreciation for Burian’s continued leadership to train engineers and water professionals to solve water security challenges in that country through the USAID-funded U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCASW). He is one of 127 people who will receive one of 10 civilian awards to be handed out at the ceremony.
